Few consultancies invest in research and development, yet innovation will be vital to meet the global commitment for sustainable energy, energy security and the reduction of greenhouse emissions. Our in-house research and development facility offers the innovation needed to ensure effective and tailor made services to the renewables industry and meeting the challenges faced to deliver those promises.

The facility is dedicated to increasing the quality and quantity of the knowledge-base needed to support a rapidly expanding industry. Through a multi-disciplinary approach to science, policy and consultancy, PMSS is pursuing new research initiatives by combining industry knowhow with many of the world’s leading academic institutes who specialise in this field.

PMSS provides expert advice and support on all elements of research and development relating to renewable energy with specialist interests in project development, machine technology, resource analysis, project systems analysis and risk management, pre and post-consent strategies, policy, spatial planning, archaeology/UXO, predictive modelling, geospatial analysis and monitoring, assessment and management software.

To date, the facility has been instrumental in developing in-house analytical tools for a number of key industry players.
